This story has the heady aroma of 'tax evasion' around it - with Starbuck's paying far more in 'royalty payments' than it does in tax across the world. I wonder if I can avoid paying tax by setting up my own company - presumably registered in Ireland - and paying myself royalties for representing a version of myself at work?

I suspect the answer is no. But I'd love to know how that differs from what Starbucks is currently doing.
