As trade tariff controversies continue, US pencil-makers say levies on Chinese imports saved their businesses.
Graham Watson's insight:
Lovely BBC clip that highlights how tariffs can protect certain industries - in this case, the US pencil industry was protected from Chinese competition by a tariff and is still in business.
However, is there a cost to this? The good students among you might be able to identify that this sort of action also imposes a number of costs.

Here we go again. The Americans are thinking about increasing tariffs on imports of Chinese goods from 10% to 25%.
