From the success of this I moved away from simple warm-up quizzes (to check understanding / focus students) and moved into something you may want to consider also; actually introducing new topics with Kahoot. Still in the form of multiple choice questions, this idea saw the students answering questions they most likely didn't know the answers to but might infer the correct answer from prior knowledge and question deconstruction. As you could imagine when the answer graph came up after everyone answered there were some very interesting results which sparked some amazing conversations with the class. Using Kahoot in this manner gave my class the opportunity to explore complex concepts together and really worked to level the playing field, giving every student a chance to contribute. My favourite scenario come from using a question with multiple correct answers and hearing the students reasoning behind why their answer was more correct!
Kahoots are fun, interactive games to help learners practice their English and build their language skills. Great for ELL students!
