If ever there was a permanent cure for migraine, homeopathic medicines are the only one that can do this miracle. It may sound like an overstatement and quite quackerish, but it’s true. Long term treatment with homeopathy has an excellent cure for migraine headaches

On the positive side, Andrew Moore and colleagues say that if we can embrace the fact that most treatments fail, we will deliver better and safer care. Here is the editorial from the latest BMJ (June 2013), admitting drugs don't work most of the time, and telling clinicians to expect failure and change treatment quickly to avoid dangerous side effects. It stresses the importance of the reaction between doctor and patient and the importance of a "a large dose of clinical wisdom." So this is modern scientific medicine? Time for homeopathy to step forward...where patient/practitioner relationship and clinical wisdom has always been central and treatment individual...

Conclusion. These data indicate that apoptosis is one of the mechanisms of tumor reduction of homeopathic drugs. This article by Joette Calabrese explains how the integration of constitutional and symptomatic homeopathy can work in conjunction with dietary principles to heal acne. She rightly implicates vegetable oils and advises saturated and monounsaturated fats. I would include reducing the glycaemic load and reducing sugar. This article reveals the hidden history of the so called influenza epidemic of 1918, where most actually died from bacterial pneumonia. Homeopaths saved almost every case treated, whereas many died from the side effects of aspirin. As usual, the history books need to be rewritten.

The first systematic review was published in 1991.1 Of the 105 trials with interpretable results, 81 indicated positive results, which included RCTs that received high quality ratings for randomization, blinding, sample size, and other methodological criteria. The authors came to the conclusions: “Based on this evidence we would be ready to accept that homoeopathy can be efficacious, if only the mechanism of action were more plausible” and “the evidence presented in this review would probably be sufficient for establishing homoeopathy as a regular treatment for certain indications”.

Immunomodulatory drugs (natalizumab), worsening of multiple sclerosis, rebound effect and similitude
Natalizumab reduces relapses in patients with active multiple sclerosis (MS), but recent studies report severe worsening of MS after suspension of treatment, as a consequence of the rebound effect.

Hahnemann himself wrote of the primary and secondary response of drugs. The author of this paper theorises about the secondary action of the organism in response to the immunosuppression caused by the drug, lending some credence to the principles of homeopathy...

No real surprise here, as stopping this drug removes the BBB protective factor. However, it does mean that when natalizumab becomes contra-indicated, there needs to be some treatment in place to reduce the rebound effect.

Our study clearly demonstrates a biologic response to homeopathic treatment as manifested by cell proliferation and tumor growth. This biologic effect was (i)significantly stronger to Sabal serrulata than to controls and (ii)specific to human prostate cancer. Sabal serrulata should thus be further investigated as a specific homeopathic remedy for prostate pathology.

Homeopathic preparations of S.jambolanum and C.indica in mother tincture, 6c and 30c were used to examine the molecular mechanism of antidiabetic effects in the skeletal muscle of rats with high fat and fructose-induced type-2 diabetes mellitus. After 30 days treatment, fasting blood glucose, serum insulin and insulin signaling molecules in the skeletal muscle (gastrocnemius) were measured.

The results of this study demonstrate the interest of homeopathic medicines for the prevention and treatment of migraine attacks in children. A significant decrease in the frequency, severity, and duration of migraine attacks was observed and, consequently, reduced absenteeism from school.

Homeopaths often see these patients many years after the initial infection, when they come in for treatment of chronic disease. Patients frequently report that they have never been well since the original urethritis and antibiotic treatment. In my experience, careful homeopathic treatment is very effective in treating these patients and can fully eradicate the disease.

I always explain to my patients that homeopathy works in a balancing way, by retraining and retuning the body's own self-healing mechanisms, so that the health can remain in balance for some time afterwards.
