The Board of the Florida Thoroughbred Horsemen (FTH) met Monday to address HB 105, the pending legislation seeking decoupling in Florida that would allow Gulfstream Park to separate its gaming license from the requirement to continue to conduct live racing.

stanowisko Florida Thoroughbred Horsemen's Association (FTHA) wobec proponowanej ustawy HB 105, która ma na celu oddzielenie licencji na gry hazardowe od obowiązku przeprowadzania wyścigów konnych w Gulfstream Park. FTHA jednogłośnie sprzeciwiła się tej legislacji, podkreślając, że przyszłość wyścigów konnych w Południowej Florydzie jest zbyt niepewna, by podejmować takie ryzyko bez jasnego planu na przyszłość. Organizacja wyraziła gotowość do współpracy z 1/ST RACING i Gulfstream w celu opracowania zrównoważonego rozwiązania, które będzie w najlepszym interesie wyścigów konnych. Dopóki takie rozwiązanie nie zostanie opracowane i zaakceptowane, FTHA będzie przeciwna „decouplingowi” oraz wszelkiej legislacji zagrażającej kontynuacji wyścigów konnych w regionie.
