Today I came across the Chrome extension Uncircle+. It makes use of Google's recently launched API to scan everyone in your Circles to determine who has never updated their status in a manner that you could see. You then are given a list of those users and have the option to let Uncircle+ automatically unfollow them or not. This is very useful to clean house, and can be very beneficial to people that are up against the 5,000 people in your Circles limit.

One of the key differences of Google+ Games, when compared to that of Facebook, is that users can totally ignore the game feature if they want, and even if they do play games can avoid much of the noise if they choose to. Today, Google announced some minor changes to the way in which game notifications are displayed and managed, after receiving a ton of feedback from gamers, specifically around gaming gifts and invitations.
