This is a great article to introduce you to the Unicorn of Death. The UoD gets attention. The UoD has nothing to do with the "Top 15 Most Used Cliche Images in Web Design", but if I used any of the images highlighted in the article you'd skip right past this post. In good design there has to be something of value to put your attention in a chokehold, otherwise it's cheap decoration. Design cliché's are just that. You can thank the folks who set the standards at microstock sites like iStock, Dreamstime et,al. From experience, I've had images rejected because they were deemed "..not stock-worthy..." Considering the images that are stock-worthy, that's not such a bad thing.
