This is a great article to introduce you to the Unicorn of Death. The UoD gets attention. The UoD has nothing to do with the "Top 15 Most Used Cliche Images in Web Design", but if I used any of the images highlighted in the article you'd skip right past this post. In good design there has to be something of value to put your attention in a chokehold, otherwise it's cheap decoration. Design cliché's are just that. You can thank the folks who set the standards at microstock sites like iStock, Dreamstime et,al. From experience, I've had images rejected because they were deemed "..not stock-worthy..." Considering the images that are stock-worthy, that's not such a bad thing.

Color in design is very subjective. What evokes one reaction in one person may evoke a very different reaction in somone else. Sometimes this is due to personal preference, and other times due to cultural background.

You don't have to understand what a HEX number is - this is just a cheat sheet to grab it. Slide, find the perfect colour, cut & paste the number = Voila! Use it when you modify your Like & Feel Wiki or any blog or website that requires a hot HEX!

90% of Graphic Design is Typography - That's why you need to pay attention to it and care about it. You don't have to lust over it like I do [blush] but you really should try & mix it up!
Please no more Comic Sans, Chalkuster, Marker Felt, or Apple Chancery!
