In 2001, the Western world was rocked by the September 11th terrorist attacks in New York City, which led to the deaths of almost 3,000 people, the collapse of the Twin Towers and saw the US government initiate its Global War on Terrorism programme, where it launched attacks against both al-Qaeda and the Taliban in Afghanistan. Concorde is flying again in 2026. For a 1 time flight across the Atlantic Concorde will follow in the footsteps of the hay day of supersonic travel & I have managed to bag a seat on this historic flight! Flying on Concorde SST from London Heathrow we fly supersonic over the atlantic towards New York's JFK. This Route was a regular route for Concorde back in the day. this time however its simply for the transfer of a Concorde from a restoration center to a new home in a museum in America.
