The project leader and the minimum number of partners per category must be European cultural operators active in the cultural and creative sectors.
The project leader must have had a legal personality for at least 2 years on the date of the deadline for submission of applications and be able to demonstrate its existence as a legal person. Natural persons may not apply for a grant.

After the evaluation of the first proposals received in June 2014 we published a list of tips for potential applicants to the SME Instrument. These pointers received such a warm welcome that we decided to work on a new version building on the experience gained during the evaluation of around 2,500 new proposals. Some of the tips below may seem obvious but, believe us, they can make a huge difference to the success of your project!
Write to convince evaluators to invest in your business
Four evaluators will look at different aspects of your proposal: the technology, market knowledge, commercialisation plan, and the financial angle. Each of the evaluators will look at 3 criteria: impact, excellence, and implementation.
