The purpose of this call is not to use music as a means to achieve social inclusion, but rather to attract less advantaged children to the world of music. the overall aim of this call is the elaboration and implementation of at least 8 innovative approaches to foster informal/non-formal music education and learning, involving either education institutions or representatives/representative organisations from the education sector cooperating with representatives/representative organisations of the music sector. The objective is to test small-scale projects with a European dimension.
Specific objectives The proposals should demonstrate their contribution to the general objective by covering the two following specific objectives: 1. Promote the cooperation between non-formal/informal education and the music sector with the aim to foster social inclusion, i.e. access to music for less advantaged children or community involvement; 2. Develop a small-scale project with a clear European added value, that is suitable for the exchange of good practices and could lead to a knowledge transfer for similar projects in other countries.
BUDGET AVAILABLE
The maximum grant per project will be EUR 30,000.00. The Commission expects to fund at least 8 proposals. The maximum co-financing rate will be 80%
- Promote the transnational mobility of artists and professionals with a view to enabling them to cooperate internationally and to internationalise their careers; - Strengthen audience development and improve access to European cultural and creative works with a particular focus on children, young people, people with disabilities and underrepresented groups; - Improve capacity by developing new skills for cultural professionals and promoting innovative approaches to creation, new and innovative models of revenue, management and marketing for the cultural sectors, in particular as regards the digital shift; - Contribute to the social integration of migrants and refugees by enhancing intercultural dialogue, promote shared EU values and mutual understanding and respect for other cultures; - As a legacy to the European Year of Culture Heritage 2018, raise awareness of common history and values, and reinforce a sense of belonging to a common European space.
The project leader and the minimum number of partners per category must be European cultural operators active in the cultural and creative sectors.
The project leader must have had a legal personality for at least 2 years on the date of the deadline for submission of applications and be able to demonstrate its existence as a legal person. Natural persons may not apply for a grant.
Deadline for applications Applications must be submitted to and received by the Executive Agency (EACEA) using the online application system and form (eForm) no later than 27 November 2019 at 17.00 CET/CEST (Brussels time). No other method of submission of an application will be accepted. Applicants shall ensure that all the documents requested and mentioned in the eForms are provided.

Specific objective of promoting non-national circulation, one of the priorities of the MEDIA Sub-programme shall be the following:
supporting theatrical distribution through non-national marketing, branding, distribution and exhibition of audiovisual works.
Eligible actions
The activities to be funded are campaigns for the pan-European distribution of eligible European films, outside their country of origin, coordinated by the sales agent of the film.
The film must have been majority produced by a producer /producers established in countries participating in the MEDIA sub-programme and made with a significant participation by professionals from those countries. The film must be a work of fiction (including animated films) or documentary with a minimum duration of 60 minutes long.
The film must not consist in alternative content (operas, concerts, performances, etc.) or advertising, pornographic or racist material or advocate violence.
The production budget of the film cannot exceed EUR 15Meuro.
ELIGIBLE ACTIONS To generate a potential fund and to qualify for reinvestment measures, the film must have been majority produced by a producer/producers established in countries participating in the MEDIA sub-programme and made with a significant participation by professionals from those countries.
The film must be a work of fiction, animation or documentary of more than 60 minutes long and from a different country than the country of distribution. The film must not consist in alternative content (operas, concerts, performances, etc.) or advertising. For the film to be eligible its first copyright must not have been established before 2013.
Applications for this call can be submitted for one or more of the following actions:
Action 1: Support for the promotion, marketing and branding activities of existing VOD services
Action 2: Support for the assembly and delivery of digital 'online ready' packages of European audiovisual works
Action 3: Support for projects that demonstrate innovative strategies for distributing and promoting European audiovisual works, including audience development initiatives focusing on innovative and participatory strategies that reach out to wider audiences with European films.
ELIGIBLE ACTIONS The present call for proposals is aimed at supporting actions and activities taking place in and outside countries participating in the MEDIA Sub-programme. Only those applications corresponding to at least one of the 3 Actions below will be considered as eligible: • Action 1 – Business to business (physical) markets for European audiovisual professionals • Action 2 - Online tools encouraging business-to-business exchanges • Action 3 – Business to business promotional activities of European works Activities must start between 01/06/2018 and 30/06/2019. The maximum duration of the action is 12 months.
ELIGIBLE ACTIONS The Promotion of European Works Online scheme shall provide support to: - Action 1: Actions such as digital promotion, marketing, branding, tagging and development of new offers by existing VOD services offering a majority of European works. The aim of the action is to improve the visibility, discoverability and global audience of European audiovisual works. - Action 2: Support to the development of "Online Ready" packages; - Action 3: Innovative strategies for distribution and promotion of European audiovisual works, including audience development initiatives focusing on innovative and participatory strategies reaching out to wider audiences with European films. Applicants submitting projects for different actions should provide separate applications for each action.
The main objective of the support for European cooperation projects related to the European Year of Cultural Heritage 2018 is to reflect the purpose of the 2018 European Year of Cultural Heritage (EYCH 2018), which is to encourage the sharing and appreciation of Europe's cultural heritage as a shared resource, to raise awareness of common history and values, and to reinforce a sense of belonging to a common European space (Art 1.2 of the Decision (EU) 2017/864).
The following activities are not eligible: Activities dedicated to research or tourism linked to cultural heritage Surveys (given that a EU-wide Eurobarometer survey on cultural heritage is being conducted as part of the activities of the European Year of Cultural Heritage). Conferences, exhibitions, workshops etc, as core activities of the project (these type of activities can be ancillary to it, in particular in view of the communication and dissemination strategies of the project).
ELIGIBLE ACTIONS The development activities for the following audiovisual works are eligible: - Feature films, animations and creative documentaries of a minimum length of 60 minutes intended primarily for cinematic release; - Fiction projects (one-off or series) of a total duration of minimum 90 minutes, animation (one-off or series) of a total duration of minimum 24 minutes and creative documentaries (one-off or series) of a total duration of minimum 50 minutes intended primarily for the purposes of television; - Fiction projects of a total duration or user experience of minimum 90 minutes, animation of a total duration or user experience of minimum 24 minutes and creative documentaries of a total duration or user experience of minimum 50 minutes intended primarily for the purposes of Digital platform exploitation. For projects presenting a user experience in a non-linear format (e.g. Virtual Reality), these minimums do not apply.
The digital platform is addressing the following types of projects: animation, creative documentaries and fiction projects intended for multiple screen-based devises, interactive projects, linear and non-linear web-series and narrative virtual reality projects.

The call for proposals has two deadlines. To be included in the 1st deadline, the application for support must be submitted and received between the date of the publication of the call for proposals and 23/11/2017, 12.00 noon (midday Brussels time). To be included in the 2nd deadline, the application for support must be submitted and received between 01/12/2017 and 19/04/2018, 12.00 noon (midday Brussels time), the date of closure of the call for proposals.
Applications for this call can be submitted for one or more of the following actions :
ACTION 1 Support for the promotion, marketing and branding activities of existing VOD services.

Projects providing mechanisms for better cooperation between film education initiatives in Europe with the aim to improve the efficiency and European dimension of these initiatives and to develop new and innovative projects, especially using digital tools.
Projects providing mechanisms for increasing the contribution of European films and audiovisual works to education, including curated catalogues of films.
This call is confined to the artistic creation in the music sector and, for the purpose of this call for proposal, the terms of co-creation and co-production are used as synonyms that depict the collaborative process of artistic creation of lyrics and songs, aiming at commercialisation and revenue generation.
the general objective of this call is to identify and to support at least 10 innovative and sustainable pilot co-production and co-creation programmes for songwriters and musicians in the music sector with a clear European added-value in order to facilitate the development of European music repertoire.
Specific objectives The proposals should demonstrate their contribution to the following compulsory specific objective: Organise a nurturing and inspirational camp of European dimension to group creative people to improve the participants’ songwriting skills. The camp should provide opportunities to learn from experienced professionals, boost creative writing skills, enable collaboration with other camp attendees, help build the participants’ songwriting network, promote networking with successful music industry professionals, and help participants navigate through the creative process and the business side of songwriting. The proposed co-production and co-creation schemes should have a clear vision on how the produced musical products will be used for pitching and envisage how they can reach the audience.
#CreativeEurope Cultural Cooperation Projects in the Western Balkans 2019
The overall objective of this Call is to foster reconciliation and good neighbourly relations in the Western Balkans through cultural cooperation and creation. The specific objectives of this Call are: • to increase cultural cross-border cooperation within the Western Balkans region and the EU Member States; • to strengthen the competitiveness of the cultural and creative industries in the region.
Priorities:
Increase the capacity of cultural and creative industries to operate transnationally and internationally • Increase transnational circulation of cultural and creative works and transnational mobility of cultural and creative players • Enhance inter-cultural dialogue between artists, cultural operators as well as the general public
Call on refugee and migrant artists to submit their artwork about forced displacement of people due to wars and violence in the broadest sense. Artwork may focus on any dimension of migration experiences, including border crossings, settlement, new lives elsewhere, challenges, or hopes and dreams.
With this exhibition, we aim to foster humanitarian values, social inclusion and empathy in our societies. Most importantly we want to provide an opportunity to look at migration experiences from the perspective of refugee and migrant artists.

A selection of a maximum of 10 artworks (this can include a combination of different art techniques, including photography) in digital format. Pictures taken of the artworks should have a DPI of at least 300. All submitted work must have been created by the artist after 2010.
- supporting the promotion of European translated literature; - encouraging the translations from lesser used languages2 into English, German, French and Spanish (Castilian) as these may contribute to a wider circulation of the works; - encouraging the translation of less represented genres such as works for a younger public (children, adolescents and young adults), comics/graphic novels, short stories or poetry; - encouraging the appropriate use of digital technologies in both the distribution and promotion of the works; - encouraging the translation and promotion of books which have won the EU Prize for Literature (see http://www.euprizeliterature.eu); - raising the profile of translators. For that reason, publishers will be required to include a biography of the translators in each translated book.
The creation of a curated catalogue of European films and related pedagogical material to be made available to young people between 11 and 18 years old attending primary and secondary schools in the countries participating in the MEDIA Sub-programme.
The catalogue shall include well-known movies that have contributed to the history of European filmography to be used in the context of Film Education activities.
Minority Co-production support, the Hubert Bals Fund aims to encourage European producers to participate as a minority co-producer in high-quality film projects by filmmakers from Africa, Asia, Latin America, the Middle East and parts of Eastern Europe. HBF+Europe is supported by the Creative Europe - MEDIA programme of the European Union.
The maximum amount awarded per project is €52,000.
ELIGIBLE ACTIONS The eligible activities of a co-production fund including the provision of financial support to eligible third parties for eligible projects conforming to the following criteria: - Production of feature films, animations and documentaries of a minimum length of 60 minutes intended primarily for cinema release. - Implementation of concrete distribution strategy aiming at the better circulation of the supported works. The film should be distributed in at least 3 territories out of which at least one participating in the MEDIA Sub-programme and at least one third country The action must start on 01/09/2018 and end on 30/06/2021
ELIGIBLE ACTIONS Only the activities relating to the development phase for the following projects are eligible: - Narrative storytelling video games regardless of platform or expected distribution method. In all cases the video game must be intended for commercial exploitation.
Projects providing mechanisms for better cooperation between film education initiatives in Europe with the aim to improve the efficiency and European dimension of these initiatives and to develop new and innovative projects, especially using digital tools. The target audience of the film education initiatives must be young people below 19 years old. Projects providing mechanisms for increasing the contribution of existing European films and audiovisual works to education, including curated catalogues of films. Projects require at least 3 partners, of which at least 2 partners coming from the film education sector. The partners must come from 3 different countries participating in the MEDIA Sub-programme and cover at least 3 different languages.
Drama films (one-off or series) of a total duration of minimum 90 minutes intended primarily for the purposes of television exploitation. Sequels or second and third seasons of an existing drama series are eligible.
Animation (one-off or series) of a total duration of minimum 24 minutes intended primarily for the purposes of television exploitation. Sequels or second, third and further seasons of an existing animation series are not eligible.
Creative documentaries (one-off or series) of a total duration of minimum 50 minutes intended primarily for the purposes of television exploitation. Sequels second, third and further seasons of an existing documentary series are not eligible.
