Du 16 au 18 mai 2025, 150 citoyens, dont 8 français, issus des 27 États membres de l'Union européenne se sont réunis dans le cadre du Panel Citoyen Européen. Cette démarche participative a donné lieu à la formulation de 22 recommandations pour orienter le prochain cadre financier pluriannuel de l'UE, qui sera proposé par la Commission européenne en juillet 2025.

Yet she warned that giving too many concessions risks excessively weakening the target — which the EU executive is hoping to present on June 4 or the week after, according to two officials.

When Vienna began requiring all new buildings and building extensions add solar panels two years ago, Abrahamczik says they also felt it was important to add panels to city hall. The panels aren't visible from the ground, so the city can maintain the building's 19th century look, while cutting climate pollution.
