n livre de coaching/auto-coaching sous forme de roman !L’originalité du livre réside dans le fait que l’on va suivre Ben, un monsieur “réponse à tout” qui se retrouve dans une situation professionnelle sans issue (et bien sur avec des impacts perso, sinon, cela ne serait pas marrant). Force est de constater que Ben ressemble à nous tous (professionnellement et personnellement). Ceci facilite la projection et incite à suivre, de manière très pédagogique, son cheminement, étape après étape, outils après outils… Nous allons donc suivre Ben dans sa remise en “question” et la découverte du monde des “Questions”.

Isolez-vous 15', max 25' (un pomodoro) : lâchez ce qui vous vient 4. Faites vous plaisir en disruptant l'écriture !! a) Ecrivez à plusieurs, en utilisant des ateliers comme le feu de camp de Game Storming b) Ecrivez un texte en duo sous forme d'interviews : A pose des questions à B. Enregistrez vous. Partagez-vous la restranscription. 5. Essayez d'être un chouilla agile - ne restez pas dans votre coin : soyez agile en demandant rapidement un perfection game

The Phoenix Project is a fictional story about a struggling company and their transformative success. The DevOps Handbook is manual for putting the changes in The Phoenix Project into practice. The author’s make strong claims about increasing probability and success in the marketplace. Naturally all business desire those outcomes. The books is light on the data side, but rich with personal experiences, case studies, and anecdotes. The author’s split DevOp’s practices into three ways:
DevOps encompasses far more than simply breaking down the barrier between development and operations. It’s a philosophy built on feedback loops. Each of the three ways is a feedback loop in its own way. First, lower lead times with continuous delivery so ideas make it to production faster. Second; improve telemetry throughout the process so failures are more quickly recognized and resolved. Third: build organizations that leverage these feedback loops and empower everyone to improve in their daily work. Four: (yes) profit. The book is divided into three parts, one per way. Each part documents the relevant technical practices with supporting case studies and experiences sourced from industry professionals. It’s no surprise that companies like Netflix, Amazon, and Etsy are referenced often. The author’s note that three ways are not a linear progression. Every team may have bits and pieces of each. This is where the DevOps handbook shines. It draws a roadmap across them all so improvement focused teams may fill their gaps.

Géry est un passionné du coaching Solution Focus. Il était fatal qu’il nous gratifie un jour ou l’autre de ce petit livre. Petit, il l’est par le format qui est tout de même bien supérieur au format de poche. Il l’est surtout par le nombre de pages qui excède à peine la centaine. L’ensemble est découpé en une dizaine de chapitres, ce qui laisse augurer d’un rythme de lecture plutôt agréable.

In the four years since I wrote the first edition of this little guide many new and excellent books on Scrum have been published. A few examples that I have read and recommend to my students are Succeeding with Agile [Cohn 2009], Agile Product Management with Scrum [Pichler 2010], Coaching Agile Teams [Adkins 2010], and Essential Scrum [Rubin 2012]. Yet the fact is that most simply don’t read them and so there still seems to be demand for brief guides such as this one. My first aim with this new edition has been to provide a more rounded and complete reference to the world of Agile and Scrum, while still sticking to the essence. A second aim has been to update the practices described to match what I teach and coach today. Agile is an emergent set of patterns and practices that will, by design, change over time. The third and final aim has been to keep it as to-the-point as possible with no ‘fluff’. For those who do like to read further, the reference section has been expanded significantly.

Dale Carnegie’s classic, “How to Win Friends and Influence People” is a great blueprint for helping swarm facilitators learn to norm and quickly form teams. The book was authored in 1936 but is eternally relevant. Listed by Library of Congress as the seventh most influential book in American history, generations have benefited from it in the past as well as future generations. While all the topics of the book can be implemented, we will touch on the topics most important for a swarm facilitator to employ.
The book is broken up into 4 areas:
I will save the last section for a future post and focus on the first three topics.
