Interesting legal predicament that Chris Brown is facing. He was sentenced to probation in the Rihanna domestic violence case. As a standard term to any probation, the defendant must agree to "obey all laws" and any laws violated thereafter in excess of an "infraction" can be deemed to violate the terms of probation. This can lead to further criminal punishment up to and including jail time or more fines. Sometimes it is possible in these cases to agree to pay restitution to the victim in exchange for further criminal fines, however, this is in the discretion of the Los Angeles District Attorney's Office.
