Maria Guerrero and Carlos Camacho will be performing tomorrow, March 6th, at the George Price Center in honor of Women's Month.  The Embassy of Venezuela is sponsoring the free event, which starts a 6:00pm. 

Happy National Service Day!  Today we celebrate the life of George Price by giving back to the community in which we live.  They are cleaning up around the George Price Centre.

Valerie Penner's 'A Snapshot of Summer' will be opening at the George Price Center this Friday at 7:00pm.  Ms. Penner is one of Cayo's up and coming artists, and you'll definitely see something you like. 

The Belmopan Active Youths are having a Back to School fundraiser on Thursday, July 17th, at the George Price Center.  Looks like they have a diverse line-up of talent coming to perform.

If you want to learn about MS Project or Quickbooks, then you might want to check out the computer classes they'll be having at the George Price Centre this month.  Project classes are Friday and Saturday, with more next week.  Quickbooks starts on Monday the 23rd.   

Seth Montfort is returning to the George Price Center for 2 more of his 'Made for Belize' concerts.  He'll be there Monday, June 2nd, and Tuesday, June 3rd.  Seth's been playing around Belize for years, and he's a very talented pianist.  Definitely worth seeing if you have the time.

The Senior Steps Variety Show is tonight at the George Price Centre.  The festivities start at 5:00pm, and it's free.  They'll do some dances, read some poetry, and perform some sketches.  

The George Price Centre is having their Arlo Musical Concert tonight at 7:00pm.  Not only with Seth Montfort be playing, but some advanced stu for dents and teachers from Arlo Music.  The concert will focus on selections from the Classical and Contemporary periods.  Call Ray Davis at 822-0883 for more information.

Seth Montfort is back in Cayo, and he doing not one, but two concerts at the George Price Centre.  The shows are themed for Belize.  They are Monday the 10th and Tuesday the 11th, and they start at 6:00pm.

Help support a worthy cause at the Help for Henry Benefit Concert tomorrow at the George Price Centre.  The benefit is to help raise funds for Henry Griffin, who is battling leukemia.  It's only $5 per person, and all proceeds go to the Griffin family.  David Smith, Bethany Ann, and many others will be performing.  There is also a gofundme site set up at http://www.gofundme.com/5hc1ps.

Tree Fellers, the documentary about the nearly 1000 Belizeans that went to Scotland in 1942 to help fight fascism by felling trees, will be shown at the George Price Centre tomorrow.

The George Price Centre is launching a new art exhibit today, starting at 6:00pm.  It's entitled 'Through Caity's Eyes,' and it sketches and drwaing from young Belizean, Caitlyn Tillett.

In related news, the GPC is offering Quickbooks classes next week, and every Friday this month they are showing movies on the life of Peace Pilgrim.  The Cayo Coca Cola Spelling Bee will take place there on the 20th.  They are also having a Kite Contest next month.

The were a record number of Summer camps this year.  The Senior Steps dance troupe had one, and they held it at the George Price Centre.

Dr. Gbile Akanni will be at the Octavia Waight Centre tomorrow for a leadership development seminar.  He'll be in Belmopan on Friday, at the Nazarene Church, and Saturday at the George Price Center.  

The Combat Team is having a free demonstration at the George Price Centre tomorrow night, starting at 7:00pm.  The team is comprised of Brian Bryan, Brandon Stowers, and Jarred Sweat, and they've visited 45 countries so far, demonstrating their combination of martial arts and the teachings of Christ.  They did a demonstration at Belmopan Baptist High School earlier this week.  Here's a promo.

The Belmopan Active Youths, who are very active in the community, and have been hosting basketball matches for the youth, are having their first general membership meeting this evening at 5:30pm, at the George Price Center.  If you are interested in making a difference with them, please go and show your support.  Educate, Engage, Empower!

Seth Montfort, with his Belize inspired piano concerto entitled 'Made in Belize,' is back by popular demand.  He'll play two encore concerts at the George Price Centre tonight and tomorrow night.  The concerts start at 6:00pm, and they are only $5. 

The U.S. Embassy, along with the George Price Centre, is starting their Screen on the Green movie nights tomorrow.  They'll have a movie every month, and it'll be at the Governor General's Field.  Tomorrow, the movie they'll show is The Great Debaters, with Denzel Washington and Forest Whitaker.  It's free, and it's a great movie.
