There will be many events for the Belize at 30 celebrations.
"The Institute for Social and Cultural Research (ISCR) through the National Celebrations Commission will be hosting the Belize at 30 Conference from March 20th to 22nd 2012. The Belize at 30 Conference is an educational and reflective exercise in which several persons from the development sectors have been invited to develop and present papers about Belize over the past thirty years. These papers and presentations will be focused on historical facts, statistics, trends and patterns which may help to clarify existing development outcomes as well as make recommendations and projections for a way forward.
There will be an opening lecture on March 20th, by Dr. Anne Macpherson on the role of Women in Belize’s Nationalist Movement at the Fordyce Chapel on the St. John’s College Campus. Thereafter, eight lecturers will present over the remaining two days, with the lectures on the 21st at the Fordyce Chapel and on the 22nd at the Bliss Centre for the Performing Arts."
