The SIPL is celebrating Children's Month by visiting local schools and doing some fun storytelling. So far this week, they've visited Hope Preschool and Santa Elena Preschool. Thanks, SIPL! Feelgood news of the day. The San Ignacio Public Library hosted Sacred Heart Primary students from standard 1 and standard 3, where they got some great stories read to them. The SIPL takes Education Week seriously.

The San Ignacio Public Library has released a wonderful feelgood video that goes from inception, showing it being built, and painted with some help from the Rotary Club members, to the events they've recently done, and the schools they've hosted there for storytelling and plays. Who can forget their great rendition of 'Green Eggs and Ham?" Well done, and worth the time to watch.

The Belize Book Industry Association and the San Ignacio Public Library are having a book fair at the Cayo Welcome Center tomorrow, Friday the 26th, and Saturday the 27th. There will be tons of events for the family and the children. They'll have a book exchange, a map reading quiz, a culture night, a creative writing workshop, and a grafitti competition. The Belize Book Industry Association's annual Book Fair was held at the Cayo Welcome Center on Friday and Saturday. There were tons of activities, including workshops for teachers, booths from local publishers, face painting, and even a book exchange. The San Ignacio Public Library was there too, and they did some storytelling. A literary evening on Saturday night, where some members from Drums Not Guns played, ended the festivities.

The Cayo Welcome Center was the venue for the Belize Book Industry Assocition's Book Week festivities Friday and Saturday. The BBIA, along with the San Ignacio Public Library and NICH, made the weekend all about reading. Tons of students came out for the Book Fair, and they got to see storytelling, a map reading quiz, a grafitti competition, a cultural night on Burns avenue, and much more. Thanks to all involved for getting the younger generation interested in books.
