The Pantempters Steel Orchestra really rocked the Cayo Welcome Center on the first show of their 25th anniversary tour.  Wow!  The energy from the music got everyone hyped up.  The Pantempters Jr. Steel Band warmed up the crowd, and did a really great job too.  Have a great tour!

Musical Interlude. Panerrifix played steel drums, like only they can, at the 2nd Annual Festival Hispanidad y Mestizaje up in Corozal this weekend.  Check out the video from the festival.

Panerrifix, the amazing steel band, will be playing at Banana Bank tomorrow night.  The La Ruta Maya starts tomorrow at 7:00am, under the Hawkesworth Bridge, and finishes at Banana Bank. A big thanks to the Belmopan City Council for sponsoring the event.

Love and Peace Concert

The Love and Peace Concert for youth development will be next Sunday, May 11th, at Mae Gordon Park, starting at 3:00pm.  Pen Cayetano and his family band will be playing at the event.  Panerrifix Steel Band will be playing also, and the Belmopan Active Youth Marching Band will be there.  Don't miss this great event.  


"All are invited to come out at the Mae Gordon Park on Sunday, May 11th for Love and Peace Concert."

Panerrifix and William Harvey

Musical interlude.  Panerrifix played along with William Harvey, who founded and still directs Cultures in Harmony, a non-profit that has conducted over 20 projects in over a dozen countries to promote cultural understanding through music.  He's been traveling around Belize, listening to different groups.  

 

In related news, the Institute of Creative Arts is having a Brukdong and Strings concert Wednesday, July 24th, at 7:00pm at the Bliss.
