Miss Belize was on the Battle of St. George's Caye night, and it was well attended. Congratulations to all the lovely ladies, and especially Rebecca K. Rath, who won the pageant, and Marcia Moody, who placed 1st runner up.

Will Moreno captured the finish of the Holy Saturday Cross Country Cycling Classic. "The winner of this years Belize Cross Holy Saturday Cross Country Cycling Classic is Juan Pablo Magallanes of Mexico riding for Team Benny's Megabytes. Second Place was won by a Mexican rider for Team Sprint and third place by a rider from Guatemala."

The Miss Estereo Amor Belize Pageant will be happening at the Sacred Heart Auditorium on Saturday, August 19th. Rossy War will be performing. Giselle Rodriguez will be representing San Ignacio, and Carmelita Lara will be representing Benque.

The Holy Saturday Cross Country Cycling Classic came through Cayo on Saturday. Emerging photographer Kenny Lamb got some great shots of the event. Congratulations, Justin Williams from Team BelCal, for winning the race! "Belize's biggest cycling event in the country and the oldest race in Central America. Everyone along the Highway stops to see the race, its fast and filled with exciment! (Share pics, tag friends & cyclist who are in these photos)." The Orquidea Negra Dance Company represented cayo by performing at the Bliss Centre with the Belize National Dance Company in their 'BNDC and Friends' production this weekend. D!rty Jok3s is coming back to Meluchi's for the Rotaract Club of San Ignacio's Rave at the Grave fundraiser. Saturday, July 27th is the date. If you missed D!rty Jok3s dub step performance last year, now's your chance to be amazed. Mistah Geeh will also be mixing the night away. Joris is slowly sharing new fashions that he designed for the 42nd Earth Day on his FB page. As before, the designs are made of recycled materials. With a little help from makeup artist Vanessa Awe, and photographer Will Moreno, the project became a reality. Check out those brilliant designs!

The mission of the project is to raise environmental awareness and to encourage everyone to willingly work together to protect our Jewel, our homeland, Belize.
