The SISE CAB's Fashion Art Show, held at the SISE House of Culture on Thursday, March 30th, was a great close to the months of the Teen Series Workshops.

The SISE House of Culture is having art classes on Wednesdays this November.  Isabel Carrio will be leading the classes. 

You've seen it being built over the course of the year.  The new SISE Town Council building is almost ready, and the new SISE House of Culture is already in its new location, which is in the refurbished hospital building.  The inauguration party will be Wednesday, December 13th, and everyone is invited.

The RADiCAL art exhibit by the Belize Women's Art Collective will be launching at the SISE House of Culture on Friday, March 17th, at 6:00pm.

The SISE House of Culture is having their LRM Cultural Night on Thursday, March 2nd, at the CWC.

Garifuna Settlement Day celebrations start this weekend here in Cayo.  This Saturday is Garifuna exhibition day at the Cayo Welcome Center, and there will be food and drumming.  On Sunday there will be a procession from the Sacred Heart Church to the cemetary and a tribute to Mr. Vincent Ramos.  

On the 17th, the SISE House of Culture will be celebrating with a Garifuna exhibit, and there will be food and drumming. Punta Fest will be on the 18th at the Cayo Welcome Center.  There will be an early morning procession on the 19th, and then a parade.  Happy November!

Emmeth Young was at the SISE House of Culture to lead the Drumming and Rhythm workshop, which had a small interruption due to hurricane Earl.  Thanks, Emmeth!

The Twin Towns are celebrating 119 years with a Community Conversation tonight. La Chatona and El Ultimo Chiclero will be shown. It'll take place at the SISE House of Culture, and will start at 6pm. Happy 119th anniversary, Cayo!

The 2018 Cayo Art Festival is next Saturday, December 8th, at Falcon Field, and on Friday, the SISE House of Culture will have some opening night festivities, and will launch the associated art exhibit.  Everyone is invitied to come and see some amazing art from local artists.

The SISE House of Culture is having their 7th annual Cayo Art Festival on Saturday, December 9th.  They're doing a call for art, so if you're a local artist, let them know, and get ready for another fun Art Fest.  The fun will take place at the Cayo Welcome Center.

The SISE House of Culture launched the RADiCAL Art Exhibit last week.  It highlights art from Belizean Women, and there are some great pieces on display.  The artists on display are Stacy Ann, Karla Giovanna, Bianca Isabella, Briheda Haylock, Katie Numi Usher, and Miriam Antoinette.  The exhibit will be on display for a month.  Thanks, SISE HoC, for another wonderful exhibit.

"The San Ignacio & Santa Elena House of Culture (NICH) kicked off the RADiCAL Art Exhibit on Friday. There's some great pieces on display from many Belizean women artists. Stacy Ann was there, and she made a great statement. As part of the exhibit, there was a video of Briheda Haylock making her art since she wasn't in country. The new wine made out of Benque was on display."

The SISE House of Culture had a very successful La Ruta Maya Cultural Night at the Cayo Welcome Center.  

The SISE House of Culture is having their Women in Art Fair on March 18th at the Cayo Welcome Center, and they are inviting female artisans from Cayo to display their art.  

The SISE House of Culture is having Finados next Tuesday, November 1st, in honor of Mrs. Elena Awe.  They start and 9:30am, and they'll have traditional food and drink. 

A great time was had at the SISE House of Culture's Full Moon Concert and Children's Talent Show.  Thanks, SISE HoC and SISE Town Council.

Emmeth Young, one of the best drummers in the hemisphere, will be performing Friday night at the Soul Proejct.  Emmeth has been in Cayo a lot lately, helping with the drumming wokshop at the SISE House of Culture, and playing some at the September Celebrations launch.
