The SISE CAB has started a Back to School drive for next semester. They'll have a donation box inside the CAYO Welcome Center. School supplies will go to those kids in need.

'The SISE CAB & Eco Kids Non profit Organization is collecting back-to-school supplies to help the Twin-Town Families and their children that need assistance with their class supplies list.  Donation Boxes will be open from 10:00am - 5:00pm inside the Cayo Welcome Center, Monday to Friday. Monetary donation are also welcome.'

The SISE CAB's Fashion Art Show, held at the SISE House of Culture on Thursday, March 30th, was a great close to the months of the Teen Series Workshops.  

'The SI/SE Child Advisory Body and SCFM Family would like to thank all sponsor & students who participated in the Teen Series Workshop over the pass two months for a successful closing & Fashion Art Show. '

The SISE CAB is having a Movie Night at the Sant Elena Sports Complex this Saturday.  

"The San Ignacio/Santa Elena Child Advisory Body & it's Steering Committee are having a fundraising event on Saturday, March 19th. All proceeds will be going towards assisting the Town Council with rehabilitation of parks and playgrounds within both Town. This initiative will be on-going.

Note: If you don’t have a vehicle there will be a picnic area available as well. You can bring along your blanket or chair."

The Bullet Tree Falls GREAT Summer Camp is next week.  You can contact Corporal Medina at 610-0875, or email the registration form.  GREAT is a project to educate and engage youths,  You can also donate to their cause.  Thanks, SISE Police Formation!

The San Ignacio House of Culture is calling for local Cayo artists to participate in the Cayo Art Collection.  The deadline for registration is the 16th of August, and the dates of the exhibit are from August 23rd until September 6th.  You can contact them at sisehoc@nichbelize.org, or at 824-0783.

The SISE House of Culture will be screening the movie One Day On Earth for free, on Earth Day, at 7:00pm, at Midas Resort.

"Watch this unique film created from over 3000 hours of footage, and shot in every country of the world on October 10th 2010.  Together, they created a picture of interconnected humanity never before possible."

The SISE House of Culture will be open on Thursday until 12:00 noon, and will then be closed until Tuesday.  Happy Easter to the SISE HoC.

Check out that costume!  The SISE House of Culture and NICH threw a pretty cool LRM Cultural Night at Macal Park last night.  The Galen Eagles played some great songs, and Orquidea Negra did a few Mayan dances. 

The SISE House of Culture unveiled their Heroes and Benefactors Exhibit today.  There was a large crowd to enjoy the kick off festivities and food.  Here are some pictures of the event.  If you missed it, never fear, the exhibit is running through the month of March.

The SISE CAB has posted videos from their Youth Leadership Conference.  You'll see many local entrepreneurs you know being asked questions about their motivation and success.  

Update 13-July: The Park Fest has been cancelled due to COVID issues.  

The SISE Family Park Fest will be on Saturday, July 18th, at the Macal River Park.  DJ Mesmerize and many other DJ's will be mixing.  Good food and music, and fun for the entire family.

The promo video for the upcoming West Fest is out, courtesy of Belizing.com.  The proceeds will go towards acquiring resources for the SISE police department.  The first of many West Fests will be on September 15th, at the Macal River Park.  They have an incredible amount of raffle prizes.

Tonight, at Midas Resort, the SISE House of Culture will be showing 'One Day On Earth' in celebration of Earth Day.  Belize will be shown in the movie.  It's the first movie ever to be shot in every country on Earth on the same day.  Don't miss it.  Midas is the perfect spot for it.  Enjoy your Earth Day!

The SISE House of Culture is doing their movie night on Earth Day...Earth Night.  They will be showing One Day on Earth, which is the first film ever shot in every country in the world on the same day.  Sounds like quite a project, and it must be quite diverse.

Don't forget that the SISE House of Culture is showing Hokmah's Daughter tonight at 6:30.  They'll be set up right downtown, in front of the post office.  Mary Open Doors will give a presentation too.  And don't forget, you can bring books and cans of food to donate, via Galen's RUSH drive, for the Arms of Love primary school.

The SISE House of Culture got some fantastic shots of the Ruta Maya Cultural Event last night.  Not a lot of people made it in the chilly rain, but those that did were presented with a great show, and wonderful music from the Galen Eagles Band.
