"The first major 10-man break was established by the time the race reached Cotton Tree, and shortly after a chase group of the main contenders had separated themselves and were on their way to join the front break. The merge of these 2 groups happened around mile 25. Immediately Oscar Quiroz from Smart went on an attack and only Carlton Robinson from Benny’s AAA Loans was able to follow him. At the roundabout in Belize City Oscar already had a gap on Carlton and the two were not seen together again. Four minutes and 30 seconds later the chase group came around. On the way back, they chased hard, but Oscar kept opening the gap. By the time he crossed the finish line, he had 7:12 on the second man who was his team mate Joshua Fuller."

Congratulations, Oscar Quiros, on winning the 1st Alfred Parks race. He finished with a time of 4:01:11.
