The Benque Marimba Academy represented Cayo at the Strings and Chords Concert at the National Festival of Arts, which was held at the Bliss(more pictures).  Don't you think it's time for them to have a European tour like the Garifuna Collective?  Keep up the great music!

The Benque Marimba Academy represented Cayo well at the National Festival of Arts at the Bliss Centre.  The Benque House of Culture has some great pictures from the event.  Congratulations on a great performance!

The Festival of Arts is ending this weekend, and it's going to go out with a bang.  They are having the Old Timers Folk Concerts all around Belize, and at the Cayo Welcome Center here.  Obando's Band will be performing, for free, tomorrow night, starting at 7:00pm.  The Benque Marimba Academy will also be performing.

The Institute of Creative Arts is doing a call for entries for this year's Belize National Festival of Arts, which starts on June 3rd, and runs through June 22nd.  If you're an artist, and you create in and of the media listed, then you have until May 24th to submit any entries.  Call 227-2110 or email kim@nichbelize.org for more information.  They have the entry form on their fb page.
