Cayo got hyped up in International Living. While it's audience is more for people thinking of moving here, it's a good article, and highlights what they think people like about Cayo and its culture. It's mentions the market, Midas, the SIRH, and even the Chaya Garden Ashram in Cristo Rey. Cayo rules!

Jasmine Skeen, who won the Miss Tourism International pageant that was held in Cayo at the end of March, had a photoshoot with Jonathan Cariddi, and he's released a few pictures as a sneak peek. She'll be representing Belize in December in Malaysia.
In related news, she'll also be at the Cayo session of the Belize Film Festival, which will be at Midas on July 13th.

Midas had their big Saturday this past weekend at the Ice Bar, with the Bumsplash Pool Party during the day, and In Bloom playing at night. Looks like In Bloom had a great time. Encore!
In other news, Midas will be doing live concerts a few times a month. They'll have their Abraxas Rock Anthem Concert on March 16th. In Bloom will open that night.

The San Ignacio Resort Hotel, Rumors, Rolson's, The Princess, Midas, Meluchi's, JJ's, and The Aguada are all having specials for you and your loved ones. Happy Valentine's Day! To celebrate the special day, Midas Resort is having the World Culture Band play tonight at their Couples Fun Night. Cayo will be busy tonight as most every restaurant has a Valentine's Day special, and some have specials through the weekend. "COUPLES FUN NIGHT this Valentines Night! Couples are encouraged to come: We have prizes, karaoke, and live music. This night will be full of surprises, so don't miss it!"

Cool video of the day. The Institute for Sustainable International Studies had Nine Eco Cultural Tours take them From Midas to Billy Barquedier National Park, and they had a mounted camera take a picture every second. It takes under 4 minutes to complete the journey. Worth a watch.

Ascenthium is paying another visit to Cayo in May. In fact, they play in Benque on May 17, and at Midas on Saturday May 18th. Cayo will be the location for the Bumsplash Ultimate Pool Party and After Party. The pool party will be at Midas Resort from 11am until 7pm. The after party will be at Club Next, and goes from 10pm until 4am. The lineup has 10 DJ's, including Mistah Geeh, DJ Fingaz, DJ Jago, and DJ Richie. Pictures from Lucky 5's Poker Run. The day started out overcast, but ended up being the perfect day for the poker run. 6 different stops: Lucky 5, Snooty Fox, Remo's Roadhouse, Midas, Camp 6, Bamboo Bar, and then back to Lucky 5 to see who won the $450. There was even a stop at the new Soul Project to see some live music. Congratulations to the winner(s).

There are a lot of must do's in downtown Cayo. Here's a top ten list, without our suggestions to the author of 'Walking the Hawkesworth' and 'Hitting Midas' Pool' which should both be on there. Mr. Greedy's, known for their amazing happy hour, and Meluchi's, famous for their Graveyard Lounge, are mentioned under Cayo Nightlife. Iguanas - the picture is from the Green Iguana Conservation Project - milk shakes, and sweets are also highlighted.
