4 the World Volunteer Video

Feelgood video of the day.  The 4 the World team that came down last month to distribute school supplies in Calla Creek, refurbish one of the Mary Open Doors houses, and give classes in female self defense and yoga, made a video of their experience here.  The video shows how much fun they had while helping out.  Great video.  Enjoy!

Mary Open Doors is having another Toy Drive.  Please drop off your toys by December 20th so they can be distributed on the 21st.  There are drop boxes all over Cayo.  Thanks, MOD, for helping out the kids that need it most.

The Rotaract Club of San Ignacio had their Cover With Care initiative last week for World Rotaract Week.  They had a clothing drive, and then donated the clothes to Mary Open Doors.  Great work, Rotaract!

 

"Cover with Care is Global Rotaract Project whereby clothing is distributed to deserving families during World Rotaract Week.  This week our Club collected used clothes in good conditions and donated it to Mary Open Doors on March 17, 2013 as our closing activity for World Rotaract Week 2013."

Mary Open Doors is having their Summer Strings concert on Satrday, July 14th, at the George Price Center.  Have a great time while supporting a wonderful cause.  

 

"Save the date!!! July 14th, 2018

The Summer Strings benefit concert at the George Price Center will feature talented musicians, including Czech violinist- Karolina Kukolova. The proceeds from the concert will be used to buy the property and building where Mary Open Doors currently shelters victims of domestic violence.


This concert is sponsored by the George Price Center and BECOL so far. We are currently seeking more sponsors. Feel free to contact us for more information."

The Rotaract Club of San Ignacio worked with the Lin-Wood Rotary Interact Club to build some stairs and repaint Mary Open Doors.  It looks great.  Thanks, Rotaract!
