"New Marketing Success for a New Country"

"New Marketing Success for a New Country" | Cayo Scoop! The Ecology of Cayo Culture | Scoop.it

David Meerman Scott was recently in Belize for the Marketing Summit.  The impacts of social media were a big part of the seminar.  Much of the information shared, when thought about, is quite obvious, but putting it into play can be tricky.

"This is the message David Meerman Scott espoused in Belize and during his speaking engagements and marketing seminars worldwide.  'Communication is evolving, technology is evolving and we must also evolve,' he told the Belize summit audience before explaining the concept of 'real time' marketing.  While traditional marketing often involves carefully constructed, often costly campaigns, the real time model encourages businesses to be responsive and use up-to-the-minute engagement with their audience.  'It’s a real-time world now, and if you’re not engaged, then you’re on your way to marketplace irrelevance,' Mr Scott stressed."

BTIA's First Marketing Summit a Huge Success

BTIA's First Marketing Summit a Huge Success | Cayo Scoop! The Ecology of Cayo Culture | Scoop.it

The Belize Tourism Industry Association had its first marketing and tourism summit, and it was a huge success.  David Meerman Scott, a marketing and social media expert, was the main speaker at the event, and he challenged the huge audience to think outside of the box.  It was such a success, that they are already talking about having another.

"The BTIA Marketing summit surpassed all expectations; it allowed participants the opportunity to sharpen their marketing and public relations skills in real time.  The session has generated loads of interest from those not only within the tourism industry but a wider range of sectors including schools, NGO’s, banks and other retail companies; we are content and optimistic that those who attended the summit will be placing the knowledge they gathered at this event into practice and reaping the fruits of these in the months to come."
