They had a very successful weekend of free spay and neuter clinics, seeing 100's of dogs and cats. Shelly Marin got some great pictures of the doctors and their clients. Thanks to all that made this happen!
"Exhausted but happy after a busy Spay and Neutre day in San Ignacio. Thanks to Clara Lee Arnold, Hopkins Humane Society and Humberto Wohlers and with the largest amount of Drs in one single clinic so far: Drs. Edwardo Tesecum, Mia Canton, Jorge Lopez, Isabelle Paquet-Durand, Angela Gimmel, Jennifer Riley and Kelly Schmitz. About 100 dogs and cats were seen, dewormed, treated and operated today. Now we gather up again to go get ready for one more day tomorrow."
This is a great example of a shelter making it extremely easy to adopt a pet. Taking away the cost of a spay/neuter and other vet needs makes the animal practically free initially, unlike pets from the pet store. Spaying o neutering your pet is the only way to being preventing the overpopulation issues.
