Feelgood news of the day. The Belize Natural Energy Charitable Trust has teamed up with Restore Belize to fund the 'I Am Belize' Scholarship Progamme, and they had an awards ceremony to recognize the thirty-six high school students who received the scholarships.  Thanks, BNECT and Restore Belize!

"An Award Ceremony was held on Thursday, September 14, 2017 at the Coastal Zone Management Training Room in Belize City to recognize thirty-six high school students who are scholarship recipients of the “I AM BELIZE” Scholarship Program implemented through RESTORE Belize. Fifteen new recipients were selected and twenty-one students will continue under this program. The objective of the program is to provide scholarships to students from disadvantaged communities who would otherwise be unable to attend high school. The scholarship covers tuition, books, uniforms, tutoring, scholarship club membership as well as internship for fourth form students."
