CACHE is having their Cultural Costume Contest on Sunday around the CACHE Cafe in Centennial Park.  There will be prizes for kids with the best costumes.

The Benque House of Culture is launching the Cayo Arts Collection Friday at4:00pm.  There will be live musical entertainment at Centennial Park after the launch.  It's a great way to get in the spirit and celebrate the Benque Fiesta.

"Celebrate Benque Fiesta within a strong art cultural presentation this Friday July 18th at 4:00 pm the opening of the Cayo West Arts Collection at your Benque HOC and following join us at the Centennial Park for the first bi national Culture of Peace Project OAS with live music entertainment."

The Benque House of Culture is having another great concert this Saturday.  Ready to see the Benque Marimba Academy play in their home town?  They will be playing, as will the OAS Culture of Peace Band.  The concert will be in Centennial Park, and will start at 7:30pm.

Learn about the Ecology of Benque at 7:00pm on Thursday, at Centennial Park.  Kimo Jolly, a well known ecology expert, will be leading the lecture, courtesy of CACHE.  If you haven't seen him teach, you should definitely go, and enjoy.

The Benque House of Culture is having an Earth Day celebration on Tuesday, April 22nd, starting at 8:30am.  They'll do a clean up and painting campaign at Centennial Park.  They are looking for more capable volunteers, so if you're interested, call 823-2697.  Happy Earth Month!

The Benque House of Culture is having their Love is in the Air Concert Saturday, February 22nd, starting at 7:00pm.  It's at Centennial Park, and the Benque Marimba Academy is involved, so maybe they'll play a little.  Thanks, Benque HoC!

CACHE is having another lecture in their lecture series tonight.  Dr. Alicia McGill will discuss cultural heritage.  It starts at 7:00pm at Centennial Park.

"This week we are having a lecture by Dr. Alicia McGill called: Oal Tingz, Kolcha, and Rooinz: Community Perspectives about Archaeology, Cultural Diversity, and Heritage Management in Crooked Tree Belize.  Come out and see what endeavours she does in Crooked Tree similar to what we do here in Benque."

CACHE is having their Fajina Project this Saturday morning, and they'll be upgrading Centennial Park.  It was moved to the 31st from the 26th.  Snacks will be provided for volunteers, so lend a hand if you can.

Feelgood news of the day.  The Benque HoC teamed up with the Benque Marimba Academy on Earth Day to clean and paint Centennial Park.  Great way to spend Earth Day.

Benque is having their Don't Drink and Drive Campaign and Fair today in Centennial Park to raise awareness of the issue.  There's a business fair that will go until 3:00pm. 

"The Benque Viejo Traffic Department and The Benque Viejo Town Council will hold 'Don’t Drink & Drive' Campaign & Fair tomorrow, April 10th at centennial park.  The Ceremony will start at 10:00 a.m and the business fair will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.  Let’s come out join us!  This campaign is under the BSIF Belize Municipal Development Project and The Town and City Councils nationwide collaborate with the National Road Safety Project."

The Benque House of Culture is teaming up with Helpage Benque, and having a cultural fair this Saturday, March 15th.  It'll start at 2:00pm at Centennial Park and the Benque HoC.  There will be lots of food, and a decoration paper cutting workshop.
