Belize Gifts has a new location on Burns avenue.  Across from Celina's.  Same great selection of well priced souvenirs.  Hot sauces and jams too. 

The SISE Town Council is having their Battle of the DJ's this Friday, on Burns Avenue, starting at 6:00pm, in honor of the September Celebrations.  No microphones allowed!

A mural is coming to the wall on Burns avenue.  They have some grand designs, and have started a crowdfunding campaign to raise the much needed funds.  Check out their idea at the kickstarter page.  If it's half as nice as they plan, it'll be beautiful.

"From conception to execution, publicity to painting- students, teachers, artists and community participants from the San Ignacio area will be involved in the development and artistic implementation of the project.  The communities feedback will be integrated into the final design of the mural, giving voice to the participants.  A Painted Conversation multi-media collaborative mural will express a positive and uplifting message.  Our hope is to create a collective vision through an investigation into the assets of the community.  The mural will integrate mosaic, painting and possible 3D elements in a final artwork that will integrate the community’s ideas to beautify and bring meaning to San Ignacio for many decades to come."

Burns avenue is nearing completion.  Some pictures from earlier this month, as the road was being shaped.  Downtown Cayo's facelift is nearing completion.

Cayo has a Wing Stop now.  It's on Burns avenue, across from Flayva's, and has been open around a week and a half.  They have some great wings and burgers, and are the new downtown hot spot on weekends.  It's great to see good businesses opening downtown.

Cayo is getting a Wing Stop on Burns avenue, and they are having their grand opening this Friday.  Mistah Geeh, Cloud 9, DJ Richie, and DJ Karizma will all be there for your musical pleasure.

Pacz tours, one of the original Cayo tour operators, has moved their office, literally right next door to their old office.  Bigger, better office, same great service.  Burns avenue is really looking good.

Cayo is getting a new art center on Burns avenue.  Empyrean Art Center, which is located right next to Mickey's, is having their grand opening on May 2nd.  They are still looking for fellow artists to show off their work there.

The World Culture Band has been playing at Flayva's on Sundays.  Burns avenue has a completely new vibe now that Flayva's and Wing Stop work together to bring music and culture to downtown Cayo.  They've had a lot of beer specials too, from Heineken to Carib to Kubuli.

Falyva's Fresh Roast Coffee is delicious, and can be found on Burns avenue, at Flayva's Restaurant.  It's great to have such high quality coffee made locally.  They sell it by the pound too.  You can see the special machine they use to roast and grind it there too.
