Congratulations, Resse Medina!  The Cayo native was awarded the Queen's Scout Award, which is the highest award in the Belize Scouts.

 

"Governor- General of Belize, His Excellency Sir Colville N. Young who is the Patron of Belize Scouts was present for the ceremony and presented the Highest Award in Belize Scouting, the Queen's Scout Award to Assistant Cub Scout Leader Reese Medina from the 27th Cayo Santa Elena Jaguar Scout Group.

 

In a congratulatory message from the Governor-General he stated that he not only congratulates Reese for this outstanding achievement but also reminds her that the Queen's Scout Award is not the end but the continuation of the road she has choosen to follow. Pass on what you have learned to new members of your Venture Unit, Scout Unit and Cub Scout Pack and do not forget that many other Queen's Scouts around the world share the same principles and live the Scout Promise and Law which are the foundation of this great Movement."
