Cayo Scoop! The Ecology of Cayo Culture

Their was a monumental turnout for the Slavery and Emancipation exhibit at the Benque House of Culture yesterday!  The Institute of Archaeology was there, teaching students all about the Maya, while giving out great prizes for answering questions.  The Belize Archives Department was there with an exhibit showing some classic pictures, and how they preserve and restore documents.  We encourage everyone to go see this amazing exhibit over the next month.

The Benque House of Culture will have their latest exhibit, the History of Slavery and Emancipation Exhibit, open tomorrow at 9:00am.  This coincides closely with International Museum Day, which is Thursday.  After the exhibit festivities, the Institute of Archaeology and the Belize Archives Department will have an educational display. 

Tonight in Belmopan, at the George Price Centre, they'll be doing the book launch for 'Celebrating the 10th and 21st September: Revisiting the Documentary Heritage.'  It'll start at 6:00pm.

"The Belize Archives and Records Service in collaboration with the Institute for Social and Cultural Research will be launching the book 'Celebrating the 10th and 21st September: Revisiting the Documentary Heritage' tomorrow October 2nd at the Museum of Belize at 10:00am and at The George Price Center for Peace and Development at 6:00pm."
