From the website..."Arts Minister Tony Burke today announced new awards to celebrate the important role Australian artists and arts organisations play in enhancing our relationship with Asian countries.

The Australian Arts in Asia Awards open for applications today and will recognise, celebrate and promote the significant number of Australian artists engaging in Asia, contributing to stronger, deeper and broader cultural links with Asian nations"

I had the privilege of taking part in a cultural tour of the Hyogo region of Japan in 2013 which included a day trip to Hiroshima. In many ways, visiting this incredible city and meeting some of its resilient, proud residents, was a personal highlight of the tour.

Having travelled to many countries in Asia independently, I had a life-changing experience as part if a cultural tour to Hyogo Japan earlier this year...highly recommend travelling this way!
