'Arrow' season 3 spoilers: Stephen Amell hints at new superhero suit - CarterMatt.com | ARROWTV | Scoop.it
What we have very much enjoyed about “Arrow” by and large is that the show has never felt pressure to overload itself with popular DC heroes or villains; in other words, it has not become the “Spider-Man 3″ of TV shows. It has taken its time when it comes to bringing in familiar names, and also ensuring that not everyone finds out the truth about Oliver Queen’s alter ego at the same time.So far, the slow pace had led to the only major costumes on the show being those of the Arrow, Arsenal (otherwise known as Roy Harper in a mask), and the Black Canary. (We’re not counting the villains in htere.) Could someone else be next? It is certainly possible. It is either that or the show is just planning to update an old costume.

Arrow’s Stephen Amell Auctioning Statue To Raise Money For Young Girl With Cancer | Comicbook.com

Arrow’s Stephen Amell Auctioning Statue To Raise Money For Young Girl With Cancer | Comicbook.com | ARROWTV | Scoop.it

Last week, Arrow star Stephen Amell asked fans on his Facebook page whether they had a preferred outlet for him to sell props, collectibles and other Arrow goodies that he occasionally finds himself looking to get rid of. It has turned out to be a precursor to a decision to auction items on eBay to benefit a young girl with cancer.

Prayers for Sophie is a charity he’s promoted before on his Facebook page, to benefit a little girl and her family struggling with cancer and the attendant costs of medical care to keep the child alive. He’s also recently visited with the family, and shortly after that is apparently when this plan took shape.

Amell says that every few weeks he will auction a new item for a charity that’s close to his heart, starting with Prayers for Sophie.

'Arrow': Did Oliver and Felicity kiss in the Season 2 finale? - Zap2it | News & Features

'Arrow': Did Oliver and Felicity kiss in the Season 2 finale? - Zap2it | News & Features | ARROWTV | Scoop.it
After the "Arrow" Season 2 finale showed a powerful -- if deceptive -- "I love you" scene between Oliver and Felicity, few thought there could be more to it than that. But apparently there kind of was. An extended version of the scene also included a kiss between these vigilante co-workers. Although mentioned by "Arrow" star Stephen Amell during the off-season convention circuit, fans haven't seen proof of this fabled kiss. There hasn't exactly been confirmation either. Now, however, E!Online says that the Oliver-Felicity kiss did happen in "Unthinkable." It just got lost to the editing process before this finale episode made it to air. This brings up a couple of questions. First of all, when was the kiss supposed to happen? The best guess is that it was part of the passionate fake-out between Oliver and Felicity when they wanted to make Slade Wilson think Oliver was in love with his blonde assistant/partner in justifiable crime. If you watch the scene again, there is a cut in between the "I love you" declaration and the "Do you understand?" question. John Barrowman Shares His Thoughts About His Character's Future In ARROW

John Barrowman Shares His Thoughts About His Character's Future In ARROW | ARROWTV | Scoop.it
John Borrowman, who portrays Malcom Merlyn on CW's hit show Arrow, held a recent interview concerning Borrowman's thoughts on where his character is at now. During the interview it was revealed that Borrowman is a big fan of the genre. When asked what he thought about the fictional but widly popular world of superheroes, he stated: "I’m a total comic book fiend.  DC and Marvel, you name it, I’m into it.  With the sci-fi background I have, all of these twists and turns are great." Borrowman was questioned on rather he knew his charcter's return was planned or not. "During Season 1, Andrew [Kreisberg] had said to me, “Malcolm Merlyn will be one of the stable villains.”  So for me, that meant that I would be popping up." Borrowman was then asked if he could somehow tease Merlyn's return and elaborate on the part Merlyn will have for the rest of season 2. "I don’t want to give anything away because I don’t want to spoil it for anybody.  If you look at it like a card game, he’s a man who’s got a poker face, and he’s got an eye on the card game and he knows exactly what hand to play.  And he will play his best hand, right when you least expect it."

Katie Cassidy Talks Laurel's Team Arrow Role, Black Canary's Legacy and a 'Whirlwind' Finale

Katie Cassidy Talks Laurel's Team Arrow Role, Black Canary's Legacy and a 'Whirlwind' Finale | ARROWTV | Scoop.it

The CW’s Arrow let loose with a long-awaited reveal when Laurel not only became privy to Oliver’s secret identity, but then found herself in the Arrowcave, encouraging her emotionally defeated ex to keep fighting the good fight. As the hit comic-book drama serves up Season 2′s penultimate hour (airing Wednesday at 8/7c), TVLine invited Katie Cassidy to assess enlightened Laurel’s new role, ponder one day picking up the Canary baton and tease the bejesus out of the May 14 finale.

TVLINE | Did you know ahead of time that Laurel would be finding out Oliver’s secret, or is that something you read for the first time in the script?
It’s something that I read in the script; I definitely had no idea. And I was absolutely excited when I found out, though it was like, “Great, now that I’ve found out who the Arrow is, something drastic is going to happen to my character! And I have no idea what it’s going to be — something bad, or something good.” But it ended up being something good.

TVLINE | Plus, now you get to “play with the cool, masked crime-fighting kids.” I imagine the past season-and-a-half has been a bit of an exercise in patience in that regard.
I still don’t know what’s going to happen [as far as Laurel's role on Team Arrow], but yes, I definitely have been looking forward to getting more involved in the action. But you never know. We’ll see what happens!

TVLINE | What has learning the truth done for Laurel’s impression of Oliver? Do you think it was 100-percent surprising for her?
It was definitely a shock for her, but it makes the way she looks at him… She loves him that much more. Like Tommy says [to Oliver] in Season 1, “You’re supposed to be with Laurel because you are who she thinks you are.” She loves him so much for [being Arrow], because he is doing good, and she’s a good-doer.

TVLINE | How would you describe the current state of the Laurel/Sara relationship? Are you glad they steered away from the catty aspect of it?
Yes, I am, because I give 100 percent of myself when I work. [Laughs] I love that this season they wrote some really great scenes and great episodes for me and my character; I was really fortunate enough to have been able to do that. But I’m also glad that I’m not crying on set every single day now! Laurel loves her sister, and I think Sara feels the same way. Laurel’s smitten by her. She thinks she’s pretty incredible.

‘Arrow’ “Streets of Fire” Preview: The Battle for Starling City Begins

‘Arrow’ “Streets of Fire” Preview: The Battle for Starling City Begins | ARROWTV | Scoop.it

This past week’s ‘Arrow‘ installment “City of Blood” saw the first shots fired in Slade’s war on Oliver Queen, but this coming Wednesday’s “Streets of Fire” will shift into ‘24‘-style real-time for all out chaos. The full set of photos from next week’s hour see Team ‘Arrow’ racing around the city to combat Mirakuru thugs, while even Laurel seems to take up the bow, so see for yourself!
We’re not altogether surprised to see that Oliver and Laurel make it out of the rubble from last week’s cliffhanger just fine, though we’re curious as to what could lead Laurel to pick up Oliver’s bow. Elsewhere, Thea has her own of Slade’s thugs to deal with, but the promo above makes it appear as if a familiar face will return to help her out, and follow up with a surprising proposal.

And we were right! Check out what The CW had to say of next week’s penultimate season 2 installment “Streets of Fire”:

MALCOLM MERLYN RETURNS — Oliver (Stephen Amell) rallies his team as Slade’s (Manu Bennett) soldiers attack the city. Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) gets a call from S.T.A.R. Labs with game-changing news and Thea (Willa Holland) comes face-to-face with her father – Malcolm Merlyn (guest star John Barrowman).

Photos & trailer: http://screencrush.com/arrow-streets-of-fire-malcolm-merlyn-photos-preview-trailer/

webgurl's insight:

So much debate about Laurel being able to handle the bow. I wonder if she took Archery lessons at high school.
