ALM planning and processes must be modernized for virtual resources and the cloud environment. Some have said "the cloud changes everything." That was also said about virtualization, so it's hardly surprising that cloud computing and virtualization together would have a major impact on application development and application lifecycle management.

When you develop complex applications with highly customized logic and user interfaces, configuring them on the fly in a single environment does not make sense. Such applications take time to develop and require more formal practices to ensure that they work as intended and meet users’ needs.

Let’s face the uncomfortable truth once and for all: the average piece of software that one interacts with has very low quality. Becoming a good developer is one of the most difficult tasks you can even achieve, as it takes no less than a decade of hard work and a high level of educational background. In the meantime, you have to code, and you must do it reasonably fast (market economy rules us all)...

All the things we actually do has got a life cycle. That’s why humans and software can equally use the application lifecycle development tool to their advantage. Each and every fresh creation stepping into the world wants to survive and get better. The variation in between software and humans is contained in the programming. Humans have got impulses and genes whereas softwares have binary system. This doesn’t change the point that they are both just great projects broken down into various stages and tasks.
