We’re nearing the end of our First Alert Weather Day due to snow, dropping temperatures, and slick travel concerns. Winter Storm Warnings and Winter Weather Advisories remain in effect until 7 p.m. tonight as snow continues across northern New York and will taper to snow showers this evening. Sharp temperature drops are expected tonight with wind chills plummeting to -5°. Difficult travel is likely through this evening commute as roads remain slick. We’re seeing many traffic accidents and slide-offs this evening. Our next chance for precipitation arrives Friday night into Saturday with a gradual warmup expected Saturday afternoon. An unseasonably cold and unsettled pattern will continue through mid-week with multiple chances for light snow, but a dangerously cold period Monday into Wednesday will bring wind chills into the negative teens.
