Did you know that rock, rap and pop music could be used as a teaching and learning tool? This doesn't mean you have to stand in front of your class belting out the rules of reading, writing and arithmetic either.
Educators, teachers, and school administrators could all use music as a way to reach students and make learning more fun, interactive, and memorable. Rock music can even be used very effectively as a tool in whole brain learning and multicultural learning.

Even though this education using pop music and rock music to teach students may be effective to young children, there would be negative consequences for teenagers especially in Korea.

Hi Juan,
Thanks for sharing, much appreciated. Have a nice Sunday, Gust |
Right now you’re looking at a website. Okay you’re actually looking at a computer which is displaying a website. Stop being so picky.
So what actually goes into the creation of a website? Into the actual running of the Internet itself? I’m not talking about the people wfriting the content or designing web pages, etc. I’m talking about the hardware that it takes to keep your favorite sites and LOLcats humming right along on the Internet superhighway.
Thanks to an infographic by Broadband Choices, it’s now easier to understand the mess system behind each website. Enjoy!

“Hybrid education offers promise for engaging students who are demotivated by the lack of meaningful use of technology, and associated opportunities for skill-building and efficiency, in many lessons today.”

This is a really informative website that explains to readers what project based learning is. It reiterates the concepts that we have gone over thus far in EDCI397 in a simple and easy way. I especially like that there are separate pages to browse through on the right side of the page. The link, "Why PBL?" struck me. It explains that now, more than ever, students find school to be boring and pointless. We have to change this! Students are the future and we have to make sure that they play an active and engaging role in their worlds. These are definitely concepts that I will implement in my classroom.

This website describes what project-based learning is and reiterates the information I learned in EDCI397. It allowed me to get a better understanding of how useful project-based learning can be in a classroom and I definitely plan on using the concepts in my future classroom!
