Die beiden Weltraum-Behörden NASA und ESA arbeiten an einem neuen Protokoll, mit dem Internet-Verbindungen auch zwischen zwei Planten möglich werden sollen.
Das zum Einsatz kommende Kommunikationsprotokoll wurde auf den Namen DTN (Disruption Tolerant Networking) getauft und unterscheidet sich grundlegend von auf der Erde genutzten Protokollen.
