"A great way to get started with AI art is to explore different prompts. Prompts are what you use to describe the image you want to create, and they include lots of different information; from specific artist names and art styles to referencing pop culture icons and exploring surreal landscapes.
"Try using the prompts listed below, then experiment with replacing the keywords with different ideas of your own. Soon enough you will get the hang of generating unique AI art by creating your own original prompts."
While 12% of educators felt the use of AI tools was "very" or "extremely" helpful, 44% felt they were "somewhat helpful," and an equal 44% felt they were "not very" or "not at all" helpful.
Most teachers do not feel confident in their use of AI tools. While 57% agree they should be used, and 58% want more instruction in them, only 1 in 5 feel able and ready to use tools like ChatGPT in the classroom, the report found.

I spent the last week talking with university officials, teachers and high school seniors about the dreaded college admissions essay.
I cover education technology at The Times. And I’ve been thinking a lot about how artificial intelligence tools like ChatGPT, which can manufacture school essays and other texts, might reshape the college application process.
I was particularly interested to learn whether admissions officials were rejiggering their essay questions — or even reconsidering personal essays altogether.
Amid a deluge of high school transcripts and teacher recommendations, admissions officers often use students’ writing samples to identify applicants with unique voices, experiences, ideas and potential. How might that change now that many students are using A.I. chatbots to brainstorm topics, generate rough drafts and hone their essays?
To find out, I contacted admissions officials at more than a dozen large state universities, Ivy League schools and small private colleges, including Juan Espinoza, the director of undergraduate admissions at Virginia Tech

Educators with Great Ideas
Educators with Great Ideas (From the newsletter of Vicki Davis, the CoolCatTeacher) "Before school starts, I've been working to release (as quickly as possible) some remarkable educators with real-world classroom experience in AI. If someone says they are an "expert," I always raise my eyebrows. The AI issue is vital and we must be involved in discussing it. I also stay away from those who say that ChatGPT is "writing for them." I may have flaws in what I write, but it is me writing it.

Regular journal writing develops fluency. Students learn to rapidly pour their ideas onto the page. Because they are not rigorously graded, kids can shut off the critical parts of their brains and awaken their imaginations—to reflect, dream, and write!
Journal writing also helps students deepen their thinking. They work through problems and discover solutions. They generate many ideas that they can further explore in formal writing assignments.
Best of all, regular journaling helps students think of themselves as writers. Instead of saying, "I'm a terrible writer," students say, "I am a writer," or even, "I'm a great writer!" Lots of resources in this article - JL

"ChatGPT is great at answering queries. It even allows you to get tailored responses with the help of user personas. This is when you ask the chatbot to role-play as a certain individual, and then answer your questions like the persona would. "But you need to provide a lot of information, like the persona’s identity, speaking style, history, and emotions if you want the AI to accurately role-play the character you have in mind. Here are all the things you need to do when creating user personas in ChatGPT to get better results from the AI."
