There is no shortage of material that needs to be read in business including marketing copy, business plans, contracts legal documents and of course business books. I love to read but not all business reading is particularly entertaining or well written. And some of the most important stuff is dense, dry and dreadful no matter how much achieving success requires you read it.
So when my inbox is full of necessary reading that I know will put me to sleep, I have to make a special effort to power through it. First, I set aside time with no distractions. No phone, email or TV to draw my focus. Then I find a place with lots of natural light. Lastly I turn on mellow music that I know well so I can get into rhythmic groove. Before you know it the stack is gone and I feel better for having been productive.

There are many other techniques for learning from everything read; as an example, there are few of them here; however, "the learning styles" is such a sensible topic nowadays. I would rather talk about recognizing the strenghts I have for learning in which all the learning styles are included.

Materiales del Observatorio Académico e Innovación educativa de la Universidad Politécnica de Madrid - UPM en este caso compartimos los materiales de Aprendizaje cooperativo. Estos materiales han sido realizados por Reyes Armada Arnau y Raquel Portaencasa (del Servicio de Innovación Educativa de la UPM). Generalmente, dentro del proceso educativo, el docente explica una parte de la materia y, seguidamente, propone a los alumnos una actividad de aplicación de dichos contenidos. Sin embargo, el ABP se plantea como medio para que los estudiantes adquieran esos conocimientos y los apliquen para solucionar un problema real o ficticio, sin que el docente utilice la lección magistral u otro método para transmitir ese temario.
