Introduced as a quick way of recommending someone, LinkedIn's endorsements has taken a life of its own and has influenced how users optimise their profiles...
For better or for worse, the introduction of LinkedIn’s endorsements has had an effect on how users approach the site. In their Q3 earnings report released at the beginning of November, the company revealed that more than 200 million endorsements have been given out by members since the feature was released back in late September and that the number of members editing their profiles has more than doubled when compared to last year. If it means that users are improving and optimising their profiles because of endorsements, then you could argue that it’s having a positive effect.

One of the biggest mistakes I hear about is that people signup to be on a social media site and then they don't complete their profile which reduces their effectiveness. Yes- it's important to fully complete your profile.

Il y a désormais plus de 175 millions de membres dont 4 millions en France. D’après les stats disponibles via Google Ad Planner, le trafic de LinkedIn en France fait jeu égal avec celui de Viadeo. LinkedIn est une plateforme au service des pros qu’ils soient indépendants, salariés ou en recherche. LinkedIn apporte des solutions aux entreprises, que ce soit du côté marketing / communication ou RH. Les services de LinkedIn peuvent aider les entreprises de toutes tailles notamment à se présenter, à se positionner comme employeur de choix (marque employeur) et à trouver des candidats passifs (des candidats qui ne sont pas ouvertement en recherche de nouveau poste).
