As educators, we have a responsibility to deliver content in a way that supports our students’ current and future learning. Not only what students learn, but how they learn it. We need to create the conditions that allow students to demonstrate their self-directed learning in order to concurrently develop their knowledge and skills through semiautonomous learning environments. As stated, educators often misperceive emerging technologies and newly introduced platforms as the saviors of language pedagogy, but this is not the case. Prior to criticizing something new, we think it is important to have a solid understanding of how it works and what good it might accomplish. We are not arguing that lecturers and teachers must all know about AR for language education. As teachers, we all know to let students go and explore and amaze us with their creations. We argue that AR can be motivating and provide a more immersive language learning experience. We believe that AR has a promising future in education. IT executives must look beyond cost savings to new forms of operational excellence and seek technologies that can help them optimize resilience, scale industry-specific solutions and product delivery, and pioneer new forms of engagement, according to the 10 top strategic technology trends for 2023 unveiled at Gartner’s IT Symposium/Xpo 2022.
These include multiple forms of wireless, artificial intelligence, and sustainability, according to Frances Karamouzis, distinguished vice president and analyst at Gartner, and external events are making IT pros’ decisions about them even more difficult. Customer Lifecycle Overview The customer lifecycle starts with a business getting a potential customer’s attention and covers the steps they go through until they become a loyal, returning customer.
There are generally five stages to the customer lifecycle:
Reach – This is the step where a customer will become aware of a product or service. Awareness can be through social media, advertising, webinars, online content, or the ever-important word-of-mouth. Acquisition – At this stage, potential customers gain more information about the product or service. They might compare prices, read reviews, and try features before making a purchase. Conversion – Consumers make the buying decisions at this stage. This could be a one-time purchase or the start of a subscription. Retention – Once a customer has made a purchase, the next goal is to keep them as a satisfied customer who will continue using the product or service and make repeat sales. Loyalty – This final stage is where customers become brand advocates. They aren’t only satisfied with the product or service but also recommend it to others. Content creation shouldn’t just be targeted at reaching customers. It should also aim to keep them active, engaged users of your product or service. At every stage, curated content can play a role in how successful a customer relationship is. The human attention span is steadily declining. Sadly this isn’t conjecture, it’s an undeniable fact. From the year 2000 to the present day, our attention spans have declined from 12 seconds to a measly 8.25 seconds. This is an alarming statistic, especially for those creating written long form content. Because if you’re looking to capture and keep your readers’ attention until the end of your blog posts, then it’s getting harder to do so.
But marketers biting their nails can breathe a sigh of relief because there’s still hope. While it is true that it’s getting progressively harder to keep your audience reading until the end, there’s still a lot you can do to keep people hooked and hanging on to every single word. It’s just a matter of making the right tweaks to your content.
