Scoop.it joins Linkfluence to become a leading global social intelligence company | #Curation #ContentCuration #Acquisitions | 21st Century Learning and Teaching | Scoop.it

At the end of 2017, we took a new step and launched our content intelligence solution. Our ambition was to go further than filtering the web. We wanted to use artificial intelligence to analyze the tens of millions of content sources that we crawl with Scoop.it. In doing so, we aimed at better understanding the topics this content is about and derive meaningful and data-driven insights for marketers.

This shift has driven us to the next big thing: today, I’m super excited to let you know that Scoop.it has been acquired by Linkfluence, a leading social listening company.

Why are we doing this?

Like Scoop.it, Linkfluence has built technology to crawl, index, and analyze content through artificial intelligence. But while Scoop.it focuses on online media content such as blogs, news sites, or video platforms, Linkfluence focuses on social listening to help marketers understand their customers and the perception they have of their brands. To do that, Linkfluence analyzes and filters hundreds of millions of public conversions on the social Web every day. Of course, given this volume of data, artificial intelligence such as natural language processing – a type of which Scoop.it has been working on – is critical. Combining both R&D teams will help Linkfluence go faster building the next generation of AI models to derive meaning from the social Web.

Another thing Scoop.it will bring Linkfluence is a US presence. While Linkfluence has been tremendously successful with global brands in Europe and Asia, it still needs to set foot in the US. The Scoop.it HQ in San Francisco will become the first US office for Linkfluence, enabling it to serve the group’s clients all across the world from 6 offices: London, Paris, Düsseldorf, Singapore, Shanghai, and now San Francisco.

Content curation for social selling; how to get even better results | #Business #Press #ModernEDUcation  | 21st Century Learning and Teaching | Scoop.it
Social selling.

If you’ve never heard the word before, you might think it’s some strange new technique devised as an icebreaker for networking events, or perhaps just a new name for Tupperware parties.

The reality is much simpler – and much less awkward. Social selling is just using social media to generate relationships, leads, and eventually, sales.

Here’s how LinkedIn’s Sales Solutions team defines it:

Social selling is about leveraging your social network to find the right prospects, build trusted relationships, and ultimately, achieve your sales goals.

The term has become more popular in recent years. Surprisingly, it’s actually more widely used than even the term “content curation”.

Graphics Design's curator insight, January 30, 2018 4:52 AM

RGB could be some time deluding since it has a more extensive shading "range" than CMYK. There are hues you could see on a PC screen that you just can't duplicate with CMYK inks - especially not with any of the dissolvable inks on a medium like a vinyl banner design. You should know this before you complete your sign standard printing.

Scoop. It for SEO – A New World of Curation [Infographic] | 21st Century Learning and Teaching | Scoop.it

For almost everyone who is a part of the online world coming up with fresh content consistently is a big challenge. Practically every guideline advises that content should be engaging, informative and relevant every single time. Consequently, content curation has taken off in a big way.

Simply put, content curation is the process of curating relevant and interesting content from various sources on the web and putting them together and publishing them on a personal site or blog. As a result of the popularity of the content curation process, a number of content marketing tools have been introduced. These tools are meant to help in the process of content marketing and SEO and facilitate the process of curation...

SCOOPS --  I began using Scoop when I was defining myself a LITE FEET DANCER.  There was no single source of info about Lite Feet dance, a NYC Born Battle dance phenom and YouTube Sensation.  I created LITE FEET SCOOP TO reference for my own resume but also to provide anyone interested a link to the multitude of YOUTUBE Channels, Sound Cloud and personal sites dedicated to this unique art form and the talented dancers who participate.

Content Curation and WordPress: The Perfect Fit | #Blogs #Blogging  | 21st Century Learning and Teaching | Scoop.it

The demand for companies to create quality content is at an all-time high—and it’s no surprise.

The alternatives simply don’t work. If you’re creating mediocre or inconsistent content, you can’t stand out, and if you’re not creating content at all, there’s no way for your target audience to find you.

In fact, content is so highly prioritized that content writing and editing skills are among those with the highest demand in the jobs market.

Blogging has been the backbone of growth for companies across industries, and it’s thanks to the fact that:

Websites with a blog tend to have 434% more indexed pages
Companies who blog receive 97% more links to their website
Blogs have been rated as the 5th most trusted source for accurate online information.

On top of that, blogging sparks word-of-mouth promotion because 94% of people who share posts do so because they think it might be helpful to other. In other words, bringing value to your audience means they will want to pass that value onto someone else.

Another angle is to look at the iPad as a device to learn. It’s already had a huge impact on education with digital textbooks and connectivity to the Internet’s knowledge. But as educators know well, consuming knowledge passively is not as good as being active in the process: learning by doing works best and — like I did myself starting my iPad topic ===>  knowledge sharing is also a great way to learn. <===

All of these sites focus on learning and curation, but could one of them really be the "Pinterest of education"?

As one of the fastest-growing social networks, Pinterest's popularity can be attributed to its ease of use and vibrant Pinboards. Recently, a number of similar social curation sites developed specifically for students and teachers have popped up, emulating Pinterest in key ways while focusing on learning. In some cases, they have even made improvements.

Here are five such sites that could be contenders for the title "Pinterest of Education"
