The monastery has very ancient origins. It was built by St. Francis, in 1200, during a pilgrimage to Assisi and Loreto. In the portico there are frescoes from the thirteenth and fifteenth century that illustrate the most important episodes in the life of Saint Francis of Assisi. Near the convent, is located the well from which St. Francis turned water into wine to refresh the workers tired of the long working day. Via Mariano Pallottini
