Pure genius! Most of us are not in the entertainment business. But what does great entertainment and story telling have to do with great marketing. Answer. Everything.
A very smart play from Disney. You can use this strategy in your business. If you are creative and come up with a plan. If you need some ideas just ask.

Same old adage... all publicity is good publicity? Or... 'we're making so much money, why bother with time and cost of fighting it'!

The Florida Disney World park will house an Avatar Land in Animal Kingdom. Take a look at the concept art of the park here! Parkgoers of Disney World Florida can expect to be able to explore, in-depth, the colorful world of Pandora from James Cameron’s sci-fi adventure movie Avatar. This defeats the purpose of going to the movie theater entirely. It does not make sense to have everyone in the audience bring their tablet to the screening to be able to interact. When everyone in the theater is on a tablet, who is actually watching the film? Audience interactions are a great idea but they are not appropriate for places such as movie theaters. –Aellise Czupryna

I wouldn't be surprised if Disney pulls off this multi-story world game and makes millions. |

I really like the transmedia storytelling idea, but simultaneous transmedia? i'm not so sure...what happens to the unfiltered narration experience? i'm more for the before and after. unless films are actually written with transmedia in mind. simply transmedia-ing existing films won't work. at least not for the core story.

It’s conceivable that stories developed through the comicbooks could eventually be adapted into future films or TV series, should they prove popular with readers. Click to read more.

teaching about film can be enhanced with the use of trailers. Analyzing the importance off them, the structure of them and the key features is a great way in to film study. |
Michael Cavna: "Disney is thinking so far beyond sequels — first with its Marvel Cinematic Universe, next with its Star Wars galaxies — that it is now fully, successfully engaging viewers across interlocking narratives. Each time a film like “Civil War” can land with audiences — building upon and/or introducing a dozen key characters — the universe can move not just linearly, but also multilaterally."
