What we think:
Airsoft is not a toy. Airsoft guns ARE GUNS. Toy guns that look like guns ARE GUNS. They should NEVER be in the hands of children without their parents/guardians present, and NEVER in a public setting like a park, playground, mall, SCHOOL or other un-controlled settings.
Orange Tips won't solved the problem.
More training for LEO's and armed citizens might...but only to the extent that airsoft can be kept out of the hands of people who will misuse it.
We will always be rough on those who don't use due-diligence in securing their guns, keeping them from minors and not displaying them to a wary public before, during or after they are sold.
Selling off-the-shelf needs to stop. Over the counter, to responsible adults only, and with warnings from responsible professionals at the time of sale.
