A new Facebook feature has been made publicly available with not so much as an announcement. Friendshake uses your phone's GPS to find the people around you on Facebook and easily add them as "Friends." It's half cool, half freaky

It looks like the new version of Foursquare will finally include the one thing that it is missing as a location app -- a way to find things to do in the area where you are. This could possibly eliminate the need for apps like UrbanSpoon, etc - the places where we turn when we don't know where to go next. I can't wait to see what Foursquare has up its sleeve next week!

Facebook's new camera app is almost exactly like Instagram, except its completely tied in to Facebook. This article highlights ways Facebook Camera is better and worse than Instagram. For one, it allows batch uploading and integrates your entire Facbook feed, but on the other hand, it will not be as artistic or beautiful to look at.

What do you get when you combine gamification, social and beer? No, the answer isn't just "a really geeky party." You get Untappd a social network with the motto, "drink socially." Although I haven't gotten too involved with this app yet (not many of my friends use it), it is a great way to discover different breweries and even to share a beer with a friend who you might not be able to physically be with!

Pocket is the rebranded version of Read it Later that allows users to bookmark articles, videos, and other types of content that they come across and don't have time to read. This is a great alternative to bookmarketing tons of random websites on your computer or phone (yes, you can use it on the computer too). For someone like me, who tends to leave a million tabs open because I'm planning on reading them when I have time, Pocket is a great way to stay organized and remember what I have set aside for myself.

Cinemagram is an awesome way to animate photos; to create "cinemagraphs," or pictures with one element that moves while the rest stay still. Working out how to select the perfect area to be in motion can be tricky, but learning is half the fun!

I absolutely love MyFitnessPal! Though it's hard to keep yourself motivated to track, it's cheaper than Weight Watchers and more fun to use. I use it along with a friend, and we can easily comment on each others activity and encourage each other to keep up the good work.

"Within no time at all, users of Vocabology are destined to learn more and more new words which they’ll hopefully use in every day life. Along the way, users should also learn a few new words in different languages too which is bound to be convenient." This app gives you a couple of new words to learn each day. The words include a few English words, a slang word, and a few words in different languages. Great for the brain!
