Si tuviera que definir que es 123D Circuits en una sola frase, diría que es una aplicación web que permite crear proyectos de arduino con layout de protoboard o PCB. Dichos proyectos pueden ser compartidos de manera que se hagan cooperativos, se pueden encargar los PCBs que hagamos de manera muy parecida a la que nos ofrece Fritzing y además tenemos un IDE de programación online, de manera que podemos seguir picando código desde nuestra tablet. Si conocéis Github podría resumir que 123D Circuits es el “github” de los circuitos.

123D Circuits is a free tool from Autodesk and Circuits.io (reviewed here) for collaboratively designing electronic circuits online. On 123D Circuits you can design your circuits and test them on the simulator in your browser. You can create circuits from scratch or use and modify templates and other publicly shared projects. ¡Buenas noticias para los fans de Arduino! Autodesk y Circuits.io han lanzado conjuntamente una nueva herramienta de diseño electrónico: 123D Circuits. Cualquiera que esté familiarizado con Autodesk sabe que esta corporación es lider en cuanto a software de ingeniería y diseño 3D, pero puedes relajarte sabiendo que esto es un (más o menos) producto gratuito que está catalogado dentro de sus herramientas libres 3D.

The 123D Team at Autodesk has released some new updates to their latest addition to the 123D family. The main updates include the ability to accurately simulate capacitors and inductors in real time and display signals on a virtual Oscilloscope. There are new of components that can be simulatable in the breadboard editor. They’ve included logic chips, transistors, and a couple Arduino-compatible boards. They’re building the simulation models for each new component, so if you have a request, drop them a suggestion!
