Le 16 octobre, 12 entreprises ont signé avec Anne Hidalgo, la charte Paris Action Climat : Monoprix , Air France , EDF , GrDF , Groupe la Poste , GreenFlex ,Saint-Gobain , RATP , Eau de Paris , CPCU , Bouygue Immobilier et Groupe Caisse des Dépot. Ces engagements permettront d’éviter les émissions de plus de 500 000 tonnes de CO2 par an sur le territoire parisien jusqu'en 2020.

Design and construct a low cost, zero carbon, family starter home, transport it to Spain, build it, landscape it and open it to the public. That was the challenge faced by a group of students from the Department of Architecture at The University of Nottingham when they agreed to enter the first ever Solar Decathlon Europe in 2010. Now the Nottingham HOUSE (Home Optimising the Use of Solar Energy) is back home on University Park.

In response to the growing demand for housing in the United Kingdom, Saint-Gobain and the University of Nottingham have developed a new habitat solution: the Nottingham H.O.U.S.E (Home Optimizing the Use of Solar Energy). Officially launched in June on the University campus, this project was a collaborative effort with architecture and engineering students. The house has been designed to perform at the lowest level of energy usage and is a viable, repeatable low-cost family home. The Nottingham H.O.U.S.E was opened in the presence of Zero Carbon Hub, an organization supporting the delivery of zero carbon homes, and Build Offsite, an organization promoting prefabricated offsite construction.
