http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/GBTH/15/87/35

"Artist Marina Münter revisits NON-PERISHABLE for a third time, the exhibit that inspired the founding of GBTH in 2017. Presenting a series of stand-alone photographs and shipping container installations, the artist pairs color-associated scenographic assemblages with evocative references in a visually stunning display. NON-PERISHABLE invites the viewer to consider the ways in which we attach meaning and value to the objects in our lives, and how these associations shape our understanding of the world around us. "Chuānghu (Windows)" - Fiona Fei - Second Life

"Chuānghu (Windows)" - Fiona Fei - Second Life | Second Life Destinations | Scoop.it

Ann Owiti's insight:

Transients - G.B.T.H. Project - Starry Night -Second Life

Transients - G.B.T.H. Project - Starry Night -Second Life | Second Life Destinations | Scoop.it

Now open through until Friday, April 19th at the G.B.T.H. Project is Transients, an 3D exhibition by Mr. and Mrs. S (respectively Saka Infinity and LauraLar Resident).

Given both of the artists are rightly noted for their exceptional photographic work (see here and here respectively), Transients is tempting in its promise of a 3D installation. And it is one with an intriguing concept, a series of individual elements drawing inspiration from memories and dreams, colours and sounds, objects and settings.

Now open at the G.B.T.H. Project is a an ensemble art exhibition featuring no fewer than 37 artists from across Second Life. Entitled Contaminated, it is both a fun piece and something of a curio.

The curators of the project – Marina Münter, Megan Prumier and Nath Baxton describe it thus:

Each participant was given figurine[s] to act as a blank canvas to be textured and decorated in their own individual styles. With Contaminated onlookers find themselves situated in a built-up urban environment faced with an intervention of an abundance of of characters.

Concrete Diorama by Mistero Hifeng - the G.B.T.H. project , Starry Night, Second Life | Second Life Destinations | Scoop.it

The G.B.T.H. (Grab By The Horns) Project, curated by Megan Prumier and Marina Münter, and described as being “focused on the extension of creative processes, 3D environments and art related subjects”, opened its August 2018 exhibition at the start of the month.

Concrete Diorama features the work of sculptor Mistero Hifeng, presented in a strange, semi-dark environment where the contrasts of dark  – black and grey – spaces with the bursts of brilliant white within some chambers is as much a part of the exhibition as Mistero’s pieces.

ArtSpace @ UTSA TejanoTech Exhibition  "Adcredo" by Marina Münter - Second life

ArtSpace @ UTSA TejanoTech Exhibition  "Adcredo" by Marina Münter - Second life | Second Life Destinations | Scoop.it

Ann Owiti's insight:

"

Adcredo is the latin word for "trust" and also my third solo exhibition in Second Life.

For this installation I took a snapshot of 44 blindfolded and shirtless avatars (myself included) and displayed them on the dinner table, highly inspired by the Tropicalia, a cultural movement that occurred in Brazil in the 60's.

In my work I like to explore the possibilities of developing a context to display digital images and hope you will enjoy the time spent here.  Marina Münter (vivresavie)

Art in the Park – Non-Perishable von Marina Munter - Second Life

Art in the Park – Non-Perishable von Marina Munter - Second Life | Second Life Destinations | Scoop.it

Die Eigentümerin der Region Valium Lavender, wollte schöne Orte für Kunstliebhaber, Blogger und Fotografen schaffen. Sie erschuf daher Art in the Park.

[Art in the Park] - "NON-PERISHABLE" - Marina Münter - Second Life | Second Life Destinations | Scoop.it

The G.B.T.H. Project – Second Life

The G.B.T.H. Project – Second Life | Second Life Destinations | Scoop.it

The G.B.T.H. Project was founded in October 2017 and is a concept gallery in Second Life, founded and curated by Marina Münter and Megan Prumier. Their idea was to have a space to work together promoting art exhibitions in Second Life.

I had the opportunity to ask one of the founders, Marina Münter, a few questions about the project:

I can’t think of a better way to gradually return to blogging than with a report about the G.B.T.H. (Grab By The Horns), the inspiring virtual art project by my dear friend Marina Münter. Marina and I were introduced by a mutual friend in August 2017.  It turns out we had a lot in common, not merely our fascination with the virtual world and art. More than anything else, I think we realized we shared a devotion to what is meaningful and real in Second Life.

ArtSpace @ UTSA TejanoTech Exhibition "Adcredo" by Marina Münter - Second life

ArtSpace @ UTSA TejanoTech Exhibition "Adcredo" by Marina Münter - Second life | Second Life Destinations | Scoop.it

In my work I like to explore the possibilities of developing a context to display digital images,” Marina Münter says in introducing her exhibition at the  University of Texas, San Antonio (UTSA) ArtSpace gallery. Entitled Adcredo – meaning “believe”, “give credence to”, or more generally “trust” – the translation Marina prefers – it is a curious / intriguing installation.

Ann Owiti's insight:
