Guess what? New Zealand are overwhelming favourites to win the Webb Ellis Cup. Unfortunately, there is an overwhelming sense of de ja vu that comes with that tag. The Kiwis are not known for their bottle at the World Cup and if they are to fulfil their undoubted potential, they will need Dan Carter and Richie McCaw (80/1 to finish top tournament try scorer) fit throughout the competition. Quite simply, they don’t possess an adequate replacement for either player in reserve...

Australia's Rugby World Cup campaign is over after New Zealand piled more Eden Park misery on the Wallabies in Sunday night's blockbuster semi-final in Auckland. The All Blacks outclassed the Wallabies 20-6 in front of 60,087 mostly delirious fans to book a final showdown next Sunday night with France, who edged out Wales 9-8 in Saturday's first semi-final.

24 years and the monkey is off the back, they did not choke and all the other clichés could be brought out. But the 2011 version of the All Blacks withstood everything France and injury could through at them and came out as Champions in Eden Park.
